Creating Rainbows!

The world is changing, kindness is IN, love is IN, connection is IN, and awareness is abundant. As Soulful and Heart centered business owners we are paving a path that is leading to a brighter future. As Sassy CEO's I believe it is our honor and our job to create space where people feel honored, supported, encouraged, and loved. We have the ability to reach people, teach people, and make a difference for many people. One of the women I watched and listened to growing up was Maya Angelou, I hold her near and dear to my heart, and as she says, "Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." It is an easy thing to do!

So how do we “be a rainbow in someone’s cloud”? Because there is an awakening happening, an awareness, people are vibrating higher, and leaning in to the experiences that just feel good. So in our heart centered business we must create a space that feels good. I have found, in having coached and mentored hundreds of women, that one of the missing elements in sales is acknowledgment. We learn to “compliment” people, or to schmooze people, and nowadays that just feels gross. The difference between acknowledgment and a compliment is that in order to truly acknowledge someone you have to first FEEL them, SEE then, and once the connection is there you can acknowledge them for something you see or feel, or some part of them that you genuinely and truly appreciate. This FEELS GOOD! A compliment feels more surface oriented and without depth. And as Maya Angelou says, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I agree with her!

If you think back to sales experiences you have had what do you remember? The guy knocking on your door, with overzealous energy that you weren’t prepared for, or the car salesman that made you feel sick to your stomach. Or do you remember the lady at the department store who went out of her way to help you, spent some extra time with you and told you something that made you feel better about yourself? Both of these are memorable, because they made you feel a certain way. The idea as business owners, is to create a space where your client feels honored, and supported, and safe, so that a connection takes place and you can both discover the path in front of you, which ultimately leads to a sale.

I encourage you to make a conscious choice to practice acknowledgement this entire week. Watch the interaction that takes place, and take note on how it makes you feel. Try it with clients, your kids, spouse, potential clients, the guy that checks your groceries, everybody you come into contact with. People are so much in a hurry often that they miss opportunities to connect with people, so take that extra moment to connect, and acknowledge. Your life will feel so much richer, luxurious and delightful! Those moments that feel so good are the treasures of life! This is creating true Money Magic for your business!

You see, 12 years ago, I was single, broke... and broke down, and did not believe in myself. I was humiliated for being on welfare, and there were times when I didn’t even want to leave my house. After a soul awakening and extremely deep, intense inner work and growth, I finished college and created a business. This business landed me as a nationally ranked sales performer, a Senior Interior Designer who took sales to top, selling 1.6 million dollars in revenue and being awarded the number one spot for cross sale performance with the largest flooring company in the United States! It was then that I realized that sales was a whole lot more than selling a product. 

After six years with consistent sales performance, and being highly sought after in the flooring and sales industry, I began teaching workshops. This path ultimately lead me to creating Sassy CEO. The first couple of months, when my business was new, were a bit of a struggle... I was holding on to all the rules and guidelines I had been taught and had taught others because I believed that it was holding on tight that would keep me safe... Then it happened again. The gut-wrenching soul, awakening experience of self growth that I was fighting because I thought that I was doing the "right thing".  I had to learn to let go of the rules. All of the rules that I had learned so intimately and personally, and taught thousands of people, and the very thing that was now holding me back. I had to let them go. Once I let go of these rules, and brought my true self back into the picture, it became clear that these three things were the reason I was able to sell over a million dollars a year! I then bounced back, and my business took off! I want to share those three tips with you, so YOU CAN FLOURISH in your business too!

Love Revolution

Today, March 12, 2015, is the launch of the new brand for Sassy CEO. Having coached, mentored, and taught workshops to hundreds of women teaching them the power of healing, love, luxurious living and business success I realized that I needed a brand to represent these amazing women that I’ve had the blessings of working with. My discovery that each woman I worked with had a strong personality, a strong sense of the good they desired to do in the world, and discovering their voice and that they could use it, loud and clear, their true Sassy was brought to life. Sassy shows up when given the ability to speak from their hearts. And that is how Sassy CEO was born.

I am proud of this, I am proud of the women, clients, and friends who have become  part of my life through this work. These women are some Sassy, strong, and amazing humans! To each Sassy CEO out here in this world, may you discover your own definition of success, and may you bask in the luxury of your life as you choose it to be! Feeling Love

Falling in love… 

Was a dream I had as a little girl. The idea sounded mystical and magical, and far out of my reach. I grew up without ever having felt loved, yet I yearned for it. I was 28 years old, after an intense year of inner healing, when I first could actually feel love. I remember telling my Sister that I could feel that she loved me and I remember her getting so angry saying that she has always loved me. She just didn’t understand how I couldn’t feel her love for me. We are similar, and so opposite too. She is traditional, responsible, and so good at family, and relationships, and people. I am everything non traditional, and struggled with connection, and relationships my entire life. I didn’t know how to connect, or feel, or experience life. I was just surviving. 

I write this because in my years of coaching and mentoring survivors of sexual and domestic violence I have found a correlation to abuse and trauma sustained as a child to the inability to feel and be loved. When we have this disconnect with love, we have it disconnected from our own self love. This oftentimes creates a struggle with money, and relationships. When I think of women who are still in pain, still struggling to find and feel joy, happiness, love or belief in themselves my internal flame ignites. 

I desire to help all women feel joy and happiness, to be free from the emotional weight that many women carry around. This is the weight that holds many women back in their business, this is the weight that brings tears to my eyes! Oftentimes I can feel other women's pain, I get a welling-up of sadness in my chest and I intuitively know its hers, or I feel my throat tightening and I know this woman has been hushed or quieted for far to long. I can feel the sorrow, the anger, the sadness, that holds women back. I too once carried these weights, and I too was once sad and in a place where my soul was yearning for something more, something deeper, something profound... connection, love, the ability to LIVE! This ability to connect, love and live, is possible for everyone. Living a life free from the overwhelming sadness, and pain is available for YOU! Having the desire to FEEL is the first step in connection and healing!

Having found the tools to heal and transform my own life, my own money story, and to teach other women that it is possible for them as well has given me a life purpose. As we unite and heal, we begin to understand the depth and the truth of what love is, what it means, and what it feels like. Women are incredible, and as the Dalai Llama said, while claiming his place as a feminist, that western women will heal the world. My goal is to support this theory, to bring love and awareness to the world. To help women individually, to encourage all women to empower each other, and to start a revolution of love. Ladies… lets do this thing called love!
